I was a guest recently on Windy City Weekend, a local entertainment show in Chicago. One of their sponsors is Alessi products and I was challenged with making dishes using their products. Since the show aired just before Super Bowl weekend I chose to make some “game day” foods and put together four recipes (Chicken And Sausage Gumbo, Jalapeño and Sun Dried Tomato Corn Muffins, Prosciutto And Provolone Wrapped Breadsticks, and Spinach And Artichoke Dip). Here’s one of the four. I hope you check them all out!
Prosciutto and Provolone Bread Sticks with Balsamic Dijon Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
1/4 lb Prosciutto, thinly sliced
1/4 lb Provolone Cheese, thinly slice
Alessi Thin Rosemary or Garlic Breadsticks
1/3 cu Dijon Mustard
1 tsp Alessi Raspberry Balsamic Reduction
Method
Remove the breadsticks from their packages and set on a flat surface.
Cut the prosciutto and provolone cheese into roughly 3” x 1” strips. Lay the strip of cheese over the strip of prosciutto and wrap it, cheese size in, around the bread stick. Repeat with as many breadsticks as you have prosciutto and cheese. Arrange on a platter.
Mix together dijon and balsamic reduction and place in a dipping bowl. Serve with the breadsticks.
