One of the “must see” things to do in Chicago, whether you’re a resident or visitor, is the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s River Cruise.  The 1  1/2 hour tour takes you up and down the Chicago River and the incredibly well trained docents share information on Chicago’s rich history and background information on over 100 buildings.  It’s a wonderfully detailed and quite fascinating tour.  I highly recommend it.
